Gazebo
The tired old Gazebo needed some TLC! 
Roof removed and framing members power washed. Some old stairs were removed, redesigned and reinstalled in a new location.
New joists and sheeting installed. Rough sawn cedar trims out the roof nicely.
Back in the shop, the work on the cupola begins.
The joists are added to the cupola frame 
Cedar lattice is shop made and installed.
This is the finial for the top. The cedar center was turned our lathe.
Cedar shakes installed with aluminum flashing, topped by the finial 
Heavy duty roofing paper is applied with battens to allow the cedar shakes to breathe.
The cedar shake installation begins.
All the shakes are installed. Only the cupola needs to be added.
The finished product. New railings and new stairs complete. Paver walkway installed.
